Definition
- [Henderson's] n. area habitually saturated with water. It may be partly or wholly covered permanently, occasionally or periodically, by fresh or salt water up to a depth of 6 metres. Wetlands include bogs, fens, flood meadows, marshland and salt marshes, shallow ponds, river estuaries, and intertidal mud flats, but exclude rivers, streams, lakes and oceans.
