  • Volume of deadwood in forest, expressed in m3 ha-1. Deadwood is made up by dead branches, dead stems, stump remnants or dead trees (complete). The volume or biomass of deadwood in a forest is taken as an estimate of the suitability of that forest to host hifgher biodiversity of saproxilic fauna (fauna that lives on dead matter)
