Definition
- [Henderson's] n. (1) characteristic plant community developing on wet, very acid peat, containing e.g. sundews (Drosera spp.), sphagnum moss and bog myrtle (Myrica gale). see blanket bog, raised bog; (2) sometimes also refers to alkaline bogs developing in valleys. cf. fen.
