- [ERO] A chemical substance comprised of two or more elements combined, bonded in a fixed ratio and containing carbon and hydrogen atoms. The following elements can also be found in organic compounds: Nitrogen (N); oxygen (O), Fluor (F), phosphorous (P), sulfur (S), chlorine (Cl), selenium (Se), bromine (Br), iodine (I). Organic compounds do not contain metals.
