litter trap
Definition
- Sampling method used to collect the input of litter from vegetation (litterfall). The method is used to estimate aboveground litter input. Litter is made of foliage, flower, fruits, branches, seeds falling down from vegetation. Traps can be square or circular, of different size (0.16 m2, 0.25 m2, 0.50 m2)
