Definition
- Type of the site of platform according to their inner heterogeneity. Simple sites are classical LTER sites measuring ecosystem processes in one or a very limited number of habitats. Complex sites are classical LTSER sites investigating processes and fluxes on a landscape or regional level or form the bracket over a number of LTER or simple sites.
