Definition
- [ECSO] the amount of primary production available for export (ie, gross, minus losses, like the autotrophs' own respiration, or other loss (exudation) not used by the carbon-fixing organism itself) = gross primary production - autotrophic respiration synonyms: NPP Gross primary production (GPP) minus autotrophic respiration (AR) per unit ground or water area and time.
